About Us

Who are we?

The Slack Pack was started in 1997 by four guys who didn't want to do much more than watch and make movies, listen to music and hang out. They began making comedy sketches and music videos, edited them into half hour TV shows and put them on cable access in Long Island and Manhattan. The Slack Pack then began making short and feature films for screenings and distribution as well as producing corporate videos and a 14 episode webseries for Newsday. Their show lasted until October 2004. By then it became an underground cult hit. We still watch way too many movies and now we got our friends to help us make them and talk about them. PETE
(a.k.a. Sickboy)

My name is Pete Bune. I also go by codename Sick Boy. The muppet I can most relate to is Kermit the Frog. When I hear a catchy tune, I can't help but dance. My favorite moves are "The Re-run" and "The Roger." Sometimes I like to do the trifecta move of "The Running Man, Cabbage Patch, and Roger Rabbit." I call that "Sparkle Motion." I have the uncanny ability to remember lyrics to bad pop songs. I make movies that nobody will ever see. I've made movies that even I have never seen. Half Filipino, Half Lycanthrope, all man. I learned at an early age that it was always better to steer than to row.

SEAN
(a.k.a. Tommy X)

I am a movie writer, producer and director who really likes movies. I talk so much about them that my friends stopped listening and now I have to write for this website. I am very snobby and don't like many of them, mostly very violent and weird ones. I baked bagels for many years and tried to integrate bagels and movies- it didn't work. One thing is certain though, I am always right

MIKE
(a.k.a. Mike Ulcer)

I am a producer, actor, business manager, musician, singer, composer, truck driver, jobber, food service professional, husband, brother and animal-lover. I am also rather tall and smoke cigarettes.

HERTZ

I am currently finishing my 7th year of college studying the obesity epidemic. I thoroughly believe that the mass production of chicken wings is the number 1 reason for this problem, as you can read in my first book entitled Americas Top 50 Wing Joints. I also am a big advocate for the organization known as M.A.T.A.R.T (Making All Television All Reality Television). JERRY HORROR

Jerry Horror is the foremost expert on white trash culture. He finds it terribly annoying just how much he knows about "everything" pop culture. Mr.Horror enjoys professional wrestling, body modification and hardcore pornography. Oh! and he likes all crap related to horror. (duh)

BELMO

The following may or may not be true: Belmo has all fingers and toes intact, breathes oxygen and eats food. He writes exceptionally well and can drink yo mamma under the table. He is wearing underwear. He has been to many places but only one true home. He is a he. I leave it to you to figure fact from fiction.

Jamie

Jamie Frevele has been published in Newsday, BlackTable.com, and blogs for FishbowlNY.com and TVNewser.com. Also a writer/performer of sketch comedy, Jamie has performed with the Slack Pack and most recently wrapped up a live show in NYC with Big Flux (led by Kevin Allison of "The State"). A rabid news junkie, she also attends Hofstra University and makes Julian fries. And in case it wasn't clear, Jamie Frevele is a woman.
